
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Thai Port FC managed to win the first match of the 2025 President’s Cup. This Thai team conquered Persib Bandung 2-0 in a match that took place Sunday (6/7/2025) at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency.
This result made Asnawi Mangkualam’s strengthened team lead Group B with a score of three. Port FC will again play against Dewa United on Thursday (10/7/2025). Before that, Persib will play an important match against Dewa United on Tuesday (8/7/2025).
Indonesian national player Asnawi Mangkualam, who entered in the second half, had an important role in the creation of Port FC’s second goal.
Persib immediately performed pressing from the start. The new match lasted one minute Maung Bandung got the first free kick. Two minutes later, new player Persib Saddil Ramdani fired a pass into the box that the Port FC players immediately dispossessed.

67th minute, Peeradol Chamrasamee performed his duties as penalty executor well. The ball was directed into the top left corner of Persib’s goal. Teja Paku Alam guesses the ball but misses the ball. Port doubled its 2-0 lead.
Two minutes later, Port FC got another golden chance, as a result of a mistake by Persib’s player, but the ball still went wide. Heavy rain that pounded Si Jalak Harupat lowered the tempo of the game of both teams.
In the 88th minute, Port FC provided a threat against Persib. Teerasak Phoeiphimai took the kick away, but it was lucky to still go wide left of Teja Paku Alam’s goal. Until the match ended the score remained 2-0 for Port FC to win.
